Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is the foundation of most modern yoga practices. It focuses on balancing the body and mind through physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation. The pace is slow, making it a great option for beginners

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa involves a dynamic sequence of postures synchronized with the breath. The transitions between poses are fluid, creating a “flow” from one movement to the next. It tends to be more fast-paced compared to Hatha.

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga follows a specific sequence of poses performed in a particular order. It is physically demanding and requires strength, flexibility, and endurance. The practice also includes the use of breath control (ujjayi) and energy locks (bandhas).

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga aims to awaken the energy (kundalini) at the base of the spine through a combination of postures, breath control, chanting, and meditation. It emphasizes spiritual awakening and often includes mantra chanting.

Zen Yoga

Zen Yoga is a blend of traditional yoga practices with the mindfulness and meditative principles of Zen Buddhism. It integrates physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), and meditation with Zen philosophy, which focuses on mindfulness, simplicity, and being fully present in each moment.

Bhakti Yoga

Bhakti yoga is the path of devotion, where practitioners cultivate a relationship with the divine through prayers, chanting, and rituals. It emphasizes love, surrender, and emotional connection to a higher power.
